This is my Classic Fedora in Island Style – the same beloved shape, woven in an open, diagonal lattice. It started as a one-off I made for myself; the compliments came so reliably that I had a small run produced for everyone else. Hold it to the light and the trick reveals itself: those darker diagonals are actually tiny openings, the pale lines the straw itself. All that airflow makes it remarkably cool on the head – my most-requested of the breezy open-weave styles.
